The Surprise hole
Just 50 feet from the Mess Hall the creek passes thru a pretty area that turns out to be a mudhole 3-1/2 feet deep!   One edge is completely vertical, and it was a real surprise when I first found it (by falling in deep!)  The creek is seasonal, but the surprise hole is wet & muddy all year long.
