Boulder park mud hole

At the downstream end of the creek, there are bunches of huge granite boulders, surrounded by huge iris and oak trees.  It's a gorgeous place, and the creek flows right through it.  This year, an industrious gang of early arrivals cleared weeds and then churned and dug up the creek bottom to make a very fine mud hole.  It was an extremely popular playground.  Here's why:
