GrungeGuys Biker Dunk

The weather was SO friggin hot this year!  It was at least 100 degrees every day.  John flew out from Pennsylvania and rented a Harley, so one morning 3 GrungeGuy bikes went for a ride up to the American River Canyon about 15 miles away.  We took the scenic roundabout route -- a very nice little bike ride through the low Sierra foothills.  The canyon is a gorgeous place, absolutely breathtaking.  Hot leather in hot weather -- real good stuff if ya can get wet!

The American River North & Middle Forks join at the bottom of a canyon about 1,000 feet deep just outside of Auburn CA.  Sierra Nevada rivers are clear, swift, and cold, but after the heat wave we'd been having, the water was nice and mellow.  This river is truly a wonder.  And a great way to cool off on a hot summer day.  I love to carry home a couple quarts of American River water in my tall Wescos once in a while.  And it feels so fuckin fine to ride along on a hot day in wet leather & jeans.  Life is rich!
