Well, the GrungeGuys did it
again! Another 4th of July was eagerly celebrated in mud,
piss, grease, oil, jeans, boots, & leather. (Yes,
clothing mandatory!)
A wonderful time was had by all,
even though California's June heat wave nearly turned
into July's deep freeze and the crowd was a bit thinner
than last year. But the afternoon sun was wonderful for
wallowing, the cameraderie was great, and our favorite
liquids flowed abundantly in and out morning till night.
This year the old tool shed was
a hot spot for grease & oil play. The Ditch was
perfect for getting rid of the biggest gobs of mud, and
the stone outdoor shower was great for showering with
your boots on. Plus it made things warm and comfy when
dammit, we had to clean up and face civilization again.
Someday the world will be ready
for us just as wet and grungy as we want to be -- any
time, any place. But meanwhile....
